Marisol Fragoso holds a degree in Economics from the Public University of Navarra (UPNA, Pamplona, 1994). In 1997, she moved to the United Kingdom to start her professional career in the public sector, working as a Director of Operations in North Kensington Opportunities Centre, a not-for-profit public entity supported by The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
Then she continued her professional career in other institutions, like the Kensington & Chelsea Social Council, the Office for National Statistics and Chester City Council. She has a broad experience in strategic planning, team leadership, implementation of quality systems, fundraising and efficient management of resources. She joined Navarrabiomed-Miguel Servet Foundation in 2010 as a R&D&I Project Management Director, seeking funding opportunities for research.
In 2012, she led the design and consolidation of Refbio, a transpyrenean a biomedical research network by raising funds in two competitive calls by the Spain-France-Andorra Cross-border Cooperation Programme POCTEFA 2007-2013 and POCTEFA 2014-2020.
In November 2015, she was appointed Management Director of Navarrabiomed, a position she still holds today.
