EFA 342/19 Opt for the transpyrenean prevention of Drug Iatrogenesis in the elderly (OPTIMAGE)

The risks associated with the use of drugs increase with age and can have serious consequences (hospitalizations, deaths). These risks, known as drug iatrogenesis, can be largely prevented by a better collaboration between healthcare professionals on the proper use of the drug.

Based on this observation, OPTIMAGE aims to deploy a project in the cross-border area of ​​the Pyrenees to prevent drug iatrogenesis in older people.

OPTIMAGE is linked to the APTITUD project on the prevention of dependency in older people, OPTIMAGE joins the APTITUDE network, strengthening it through the integration of community pharmacists and the hospital.
