HR20-01109 - Brain Liquid Biopsy for neurodegenerative disorders (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Alzheimer disease) - BIOP-ELA
The main goal is to characterize circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) as a novel source of epigenetic biomarkers to aid non-invasive diagnosis of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD) by liquid biopsy procedures.
Project led by Maite Mendioroz Iriarte, Principal Investigator of Neuroepigenétics Research Unit and Ivonne Jericó Pascual, Principal Investigator of Neuromuscular Disease and Motor Neuron Disease Research Group.
