European Comission has launched 2 calls:
ERC Starting Grants 2023: the aim of this call is to create a new research group/line. Budget: €1.5 million for a period of 5 years. Open call until 25 October
ERC Synergy Grants 2023: the aim of this call is to provide support for a small group of 2-4 Principal Investigators to jointly address ambitious research problems that could not be addressed by the individual Principal Investigators and their teams working alone. Budget: Max. of €10 million for period of 6 years. Open call until 11 November.

- ERC Starting Grants: researchers of any nationality with 2-7 years of experience since completion of PhD
- ERC Synergy Grants: a group of two to ma. four Principal Investigators (PIs)
- ERC Starting Grants: people who conduct their research activity in any EU Member State or Associated country
- ERC Synergy Grants: any PI who conduct their research activity in any EU Member State or Associated country
Participants must create an ECAs account to submit the proposal. Proposals have two parts:
- Part A: Online form
- Part B: Scientific Repport
