Exhibition: "From Cell to Patient: 10 Years Advancing Together"
To mark its tenth anniversary, Navarrabiomed presents the exhibition "From Cell to Patient: 10 Years Advancing Together" as part of the Navarre Science, Technology and Innovation Weeks 2022. Available in both Spanish and Basque, the exhibition is aimed at healthcare professionals, researchers, and the general public.
This exhibition highlights, through an engaging and accessible approach, the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating biomedical research into clinical practice within the public healthcare system over the past ten years.
The exhibition consists of nine scientific pieces in the form of sustainable cardboard sculptures, showcasing advances in biomedical research as well as the challenges and opportunities facing health research today. Designed for healthcare professionals and the general public, it seeks to bring science closer to society through innovative interactive formats using augmented reality. The topics covered include:
• Alzheimer’s disease: the challenge of early diagnosis
• Crystallography: the science of studying crystals
• Physical activity: a protective shield for health
• Heart valve diseases: the silent epidemic
• Genomic medicine: anticipating the future
• Immunotherapy: a powerful ally against cancer
• Bacteria: allies or enemies?
• Gender perspective: a new lens in research
• Data science: deciphering the code of life
To access all exhibition content, visitors are required to download the Navarrabiomed app, available free of charge for both Android and iOS devices.
This project received funding from the Department of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Government of Navarre through the COSMOS 2022 and 2023 Grants Programme, which supports scientific culture, the dissemination of R&D&I carried out in Navarre, and the promotion of STEM vocations. The exhibition’s concept, visual design, and content were developed by Navarrabiomed’s Communication and Design Unit. The company iAR (Industrial Augmented Reality) was responsible for the augmented reality programming, while Tresatres produced the exhibition pieces.
