    Thin-film and biological substance characterisation

    The Unit is mainly dedicated to the research of sensing platforms and high-sensitivity techniques for the characterization of thin-film and biological substances using concepts of metamaterials, metasurfaces, and plasmonic structures. The research has a multispectral approach, covering the entire extended infrared spectrum from the terahertz band (also called far-infrared) to visible, including mid-infrared and
    near-infrared.
