Innovation

The Innovation Support Unit, supported by the Department of Health of Navarra Government, promotes, supports and channels innovative ideas and initiatives in the Navarra Healthcare System in order to:

• Improve the quality of health services.
• Guide the system’s strategic innovation needs.
• Increase the profitability of public medical research in the region.

Currently, the following activities are being perforned:

• Promotion of an innovative culture through the delivery of communication, awareness-raising, engagement and training activities aimed at healthcare professionals.
• Integrated support services for the Health Innovation cycle by providing support in the identification of ideas and needs, their further definition, the procurement of external funding for their implementation, the evaluation and assessment of the innovation process, and the transfer of their results to the market and the system. 
• Cooperation with the industry and with business and innovation support services for the joint co-development and testing of new technology-based and organizational solutions joint between healthcare professionals and the industry and the entrepreneurial community following test bed or living lab approaches.
