Horizonte Europea - Programa de trabajo Misiones 2026-2027
La Comisión Europea ha publicado el Programa de Trabajo de las Misiones 2026-2027. El programa incluye convocatorias en diferentes ámbitos prioritarios para la Comisión, entre los que se encuentra Misión Cáncer.
El objetivo de Misión Cáncer es mejorar la vida de más de 3 millones de personas para 2030, mediante la prevención, la cura y, para quienes están afectados por el cáncer, incluyendo a sus familias, vivir más tiempo y con mejor calidad de vida. Para ello se financiarán proyectos de investigación e innovación, además de acciones de coordinación y apoyo, a través de diferentes topics:
Convocatoria 2026 (Deadline: 15 de Septiembre 2026):
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-01: Virtual Human Twin (VHT) Models for Cancer Research.
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-02: Microbiome for early cancer prediction before the onset of disease.
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-03: Pragmatic clinical trials to optimise immunotherapeutic interventions for patients with refractory cancers.
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-04: Earlier and more precise palliative care.
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-05: Boosting mental health of young cancer survivors through the European Cancer Patient Digital Centre (ECPDC).
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-06: Development of a research capacity building programme on cancer with and for Ukraine.
HORIZON-MISS-2026-02-CANCER-07: Improve the Quality of Life of older cancer patients.
Convocatoria 2027 (Deadline: 21 de Septiembre 2027):
HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-01: Leveraging functional genomics to reveal novel targets for cancer treatment.
HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-02: Clinical research by Comprehensive Cancer Infrastructures for the benefit of patients with common cancers.
HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-03: Phase 1 including first-in-human clinical trials to test biomarker-guided medicines or multi-modal treatment interventions for patients with rare or very rare cancers or cancer subtypes.
HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-04: Improving equitable health outcomes and added value for and with cancer patients through health-economics research, health systems research and outcomes research.
HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-05: Pre-commercial procurement of affordable solutions for healthcare systems in the areas of cancer technologies, cancer medical devices, or cancer medicines.
HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-06: Support a Young Cancer Survivor Quality of Life (QoL) research programme by cancer charities and funding agencies.

EIC Work Programme 2026 - Pathfinder
The overall objective of the EIC Pathfinder for advanced research is to develop the scientific basis to underpin breakthrough technologies. It provides support for the earliest stages of scientific, technological or deep tech research and development. Pathfinder projects aim to build on new, cutting-edge directions in science and technology to disrupt a field and a market or create new opportunities by realising innovative technological solutions through:
EIC Pathfinder Open, open to support projects in any field of science, technology or application without predefined thematic priorities.
Deadline 12 May 2026, 17:00 Brussels time.
EIC Pathfinder Challenges, to support coherent portfolios of projects within predefined thematic areas with the aim to achieve specific objectives for each Challenge.

Advanced Materials for Miniaturised Energy Harvesting Systems.
Biotechnology for Healthy Ageing.
DeepRAP: Deep Reasoning, Abstraction & Planning for trustworthy Cognitive AI Systems.
Deadline 28 October 2026, 17:00 Brussels time.
Grants up to EUR 4 million. Higher amounts if duly justified. Funding rate: 100% of eligible costs (lump sum).
Projects to achieve the proof of principle and validate the scientific basis of breakthrough technologies (starting from early TRLs aiming at achieving TRL3 or 4).
